It's 7:00 am. I am at my gym, Fit City. Trying to get a good start to the day, but have been struggling in the workout. Just when I think there will be a burst of energy to push me to the next level...my body jus stops. Thankfully, I utilized this pre-workout mix that finally gave me that extra something!
In the weeks following my silent retreat down in Louisiana, I have felt the same kind of weakness; just when that next level of spirituality, closeness to God, it falls out of my hands. That is why there is a need for a new term to describe this spiritual energy, #faithfitness.
Trust me, prayer can be a spiritual workout in itself. A Jesuit once told me that praying and building the relationship with God is anything BUT passive - you have to work to get closer. He will be there with open arms and full of energy, but you need to accept the invitation.
