As for this book, it does seem like the author, Lucado, is stretching the different Scripture passages with real life examples. But to be fair it is a very easy read to connect spirituality with your reactions.
For the future books selections, I have made them more novels or fictional books rather than self-help books like this. Since when it comes down to it, this advice is from a man not the divine.
What has me thinking though is the passage when Lucado mentions Uzziah, king of Judah, dies which leaves Isaiah hanging. Although in the case of the U.S., it is the arrival of a leader that has lead people to worry, there can definitely be a connection here. In times such as this, it becomes even more important to look at God's important whispers of influence in our lives.
